Fusion 12 Player

Are there any functional/technical differences between Fusion 12 Player for commercial and personal?

I meet the conditions for the personal license that are listed on this [page](https://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/faq.html#upgrades), but I don’t know if running a personal license restricts features that would otherwise be available if I purchase a commercial license as the aforementioned page doesn’t list that information (or I missed it).

In Fusion 12 you can perform the following: Connect to vSphere 7.0. Upload a local virtual machine to vSphere 7.0. Download a remote virtual machine running on vSphere 7.0 to the local desktop. Login to Container Image Registry. Ability to login to a container image registry with the vctl login command has been added. Kubernetes Support. No, the paid license for Fusion 11 is the equivalent of what is now Fusion 12 Pro - not Fusion 12 Player which is free for non-commercial use. Your choices are: 1. Buy a Fusion 12 Pro license, use Fusion 12 Pro. Buy a Fusion 12 Pro license, downgrade it to a Fusion 11 license key, use Fusion 11. VMware Fusion® 12 is the easiest, fastest, and most reliable way to run Windows and other x86 based operating systems on a Mac without rebooting. For more information, see the broader VMware Fusion documentation. The basic level of Fusion is now known as Fusion 12 Player and is free for personal use for the first time. A commercial license is priced at $149, with a $79 upgrade license available. Where is the free version of fusion 12 player I see a lot of reports that Fusion 12 Player is free for individual use, but I can't find a way to get it. Does anyone know how to download it?

I presently own a Fusion 11 Commercial license and would like to forgo purchasing an upgrade if I don’t have to. I wasn’t aware that a personal license was available when I bought version 11.
