Pradeep Kumar June 24, 2020 FileZilla is a ftp client for both windows & linux operating system. It is a powerful client for plain FTP, FTP over SSL/TLS (FTPS) and the SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). FileZilla is a cross-platform and free software FTP application, consisting of FileZilla Client and FileZilla Server which allows us to upload or download files to the FTP server also available for OS including Linux, windows, and mac os.This tutorial will cover the installation of Filezilla application on ubuntu 20.4.1. The FileZilla FTP client is available for Ubuntu Linux users in the “Universe” software repository. However, not every Ubuntu installation supports the “Universe” repo out of the box, so we must demonstrate how to set it up. First, launch a terminal window by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T or Ctrl + Shift + T on the keyboard. Update your package lists from the repositories. To do this, open a terminal. Now type the following. Type filezilla into Terminal and press ↵ Enter. After a moment, FileZilla will open. If you want to connect via Terminal, you can try typing in ftp address. As long as your server is running and you have Internet access, this will attempt to connect to your FTP server; however, you may not be able to transfer files.
