  1. Go to Plugins -> Add New and search for Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks Template.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
  3. Go to Appearance -> Header Footer & Blocks to build a header or footer layout using Elementor.
  4. After the layout is ready assign it as header or footer using the option Select the type of template this is (screenshot)


How Does This Plugin Work?

  1. Go to Appearance -> Header Footer & Blocks to build a header or footer layout using Elementor.
  2. Click on “Add New” and design a template with Elementor.
  3. Once the template is ready, set is as a header/footer/block using options “Type of Template” (screenshot).
  4. a) For Header/Footer – Select the target location with the option “Display On”. With this Header/Footer will be visible only on selected locations for selected “User Roles”.

    b) For Custom Block – Just copy the shortcode and add it anywhere on the website. Your designed template will display automatically. Display conditions or user roles will not be effective with shortcodes.

Can You Create a Mobile Responsive Header/Footer Using This Plugin?

Yes, You can create the mobile responsive layout of your header using the plugin.

The Elementor – Header, Footer & Blocks Template plugin just gives you a container where you can completely design the header using Elementor Page Builder, So the process of creating the mobile responsive layout is exactly the same as you would create a responsive layout of your other Elementor page.

Elementor is one of the most popular WordPress page builder. It has greatly simplified your web design workflow. Its page templates and block templates provide us a crazy-fast way to create WordPress websites. If you don’t know how to design a page, just load a pre-designed templates from Elementor Library, and then fill it with your own content. What’s more, you can save your own page or any section of it as independent template or even tweak the block template or page template and save it as a new block or page template.In this way, you can reuse saved sections or pages on other projects.

Save a page as template in Elementor

To save a page as a template with Elementor is straightforward. When you are editing a page with the page builder, click the arrow next to the UPDATE or PUBLISH button at the bottom left corner to open the Save Options. Click Save as Template. Give your page template a name and click the Save button to save it to Elementor Library.

Save a block as template in Elementor

Saving a block or selection within a page as template in Elementor is different. When you are editing a page with Elementor, move your cursor over the head of the section, you will see three options to Add Section, Edit Section and Delete Section. If it is an inner section, you will have the options to Edit or Delete the section. Instead of click (left click) on it, simply right click on the Edit Section button to reveal the context menu and choose Save as Template. Then give your select or block template a name, click Save button to save it to Elementor Library.

To reuse a block or page template in Elementor

Create a new post or page in WordPress. Choose Edit with Elementor from the top. You will see the Drag widget here box with two buttons. Click the Add Template button to open Elementor Library.

Switch to the My Templates tab to find, preview, insert and manage all your saved templates. Find the page template you want to use, and click the Insert button to start building your post or page based on the imported template.

To reuse a block or section template involves a similar process. Open a existing page or post in WordPress, add a new section, then click Add Template, navigate to the My Templates tab to find and insert any saved block templates from Elementor Library to the WordPress post or page you are currently editing.
